HELLO WORLD, NEWBIE WRITER HERE!
Just wanted to start off by saying Hi! A little about me, I am currently a stay at home mom. I am 27 years old with the nicest husband you could ever ask for. I am also lucky enough to have the most wonderful, hilarious son! Calling me a newbie writer fits perfectly. All my life I have loved books and loved to read with a passion. I love being taken to some other place, living out someone else’s life for a little while. I am not rich enough to travel so I travel through my mind with books. I admire all authors that are able to write a novel and enrich it with so much vividness and detail that you feel like you are in another world. Every book I have read left me with the desire and dream to be able to do that myself. I’ve always wished that I could write. One day while having a life discussion with my Uncle Eddie we started talking about dreams and things we wished we were able to accomplish. Obviously mine was to write a book. He asked me why I didn’t go for it and just write. I told him I never considered myself to be a writer because I hear about writers writing all day and constantly getting ideas for new books. I never experienced that so I figured that meant I am not a writer. I consider my uncle a writer, he is one of the ones that do write all day and get idea after idea. He loves to write screenplays and he writes them well. Something he said to me (and I can’t remember exactly what it was) made me realize that I COULD write if I tried and wanted it bad enough. It was like a light turning on! From that day forward I starting thinking of details and scenes for a book. I already knew what I wanted to write about. Since I was a kid I have been fascinated with archaeology. My book is going to be an archaeological mystery.Anyway, I know I have bored whoever is reading this! I just wanted to tell you a little bit about myself and share my love of books and current journey into beginning writing. I welcome all comments and hope to meet a bunch of great people who maybe can offer some advice to a beginning writer. Thank you!
